OmniMount CMK Mini 2-Inch Cable Management Covers

I have a couple cords running from my living room TV. The bracket that secures the mount to wall does not secure that well and keeps popping off.

Bought this to hide an HDMI, Coax, and two power cables (one of them being very low gauge thin wire). It was cool to get something that can be painted. The war department doesn't like to see a lot of cables and wires hanging all over. In her defense, neither do I. Thus this product made sense to hide the clutter, yet allow for painting so her walls could look nice. [Her walls since she does the painting...i'm hammer n nails, she makes it all look better in the end. That's our deal.]

The Pros:
Paint friendly
90 degree elbow (nice touch to not have to go buy that separate)
Pretty good length for most apps.
Came with screws, anchors, and double tape (lots of options)

The Cons:
If you are the dude that needs to follow directions to do stuff, don't buy this. The installation instructions are PATHETIC. Granted, you shouldn't need them if you have any handyman savvy at all, but it's a good signal as to the thought in the product if they can't muster coherent thoughts for instructions

The cover doesn't really snap onto the track very securely. So, if you have any tension at all that may come upon your cords (or cables/wires), plan on the cover popping off frequently. This might happen in the scenario of having a tilting/telescoping mount for your flat screen. In other words, give plenty of slack on the motion side of the covers.

Not easy to cut without a power saw of some sort. Again, not a big deal, but don't plan on trying to make a "nice clean cut" with a utility knife. You'll not be happy with the edge.

Size does matter. I may disagree in other instances, however, not here. With four lines running through, and trying to keep the power lines on one half and the video lines on the other half of center, this was not wide enough. This is not the companies fault, as they do also make a 4" version. I thought I'd skimp here in favor of a less obvious cover, but I should have went with the wider version for my application. Not a downfall of the product, just use good judgment when selecting 2" vs. 4".

All in all, I probably would buy this based upon value and features if I had a stationary TV with only one or two chords to hide. Beyond that, I would consider something else. I know I am going to. Respond to this post if you would like to buy a slightly used 2" cable mgmt. system that has already been custom cut to someone else's specs, has some mustard yellow paint on it, and possibly a misplaced 90 degree elbow.

This is exactly what I was looking for to conceal my TV wires. Hidden are, 2 HDMI cords and the TV power cord. You can also paint it, which I plan to do!
