This iPhone case is the best one I have received!
I tried the Mophie Juice Pack Plus (back up battery case) which was excellent but it was fragile and one nice drop ruined the usb port requiring me to get a replacement through warranty. I tried an OtterBox; while rugged it was very bulky within the pocket. I tried the SwitchEasy Capsule rebel, which was nice and "flashy" however it was a hassle to remove and put back on..also a few drops and the "flashiness" became an eyesore.
Now come the Magpul Field Case! This is simple excellence, elegance, and intended for extended use. Maybe I am just biased as being a "fanboy" of Magpul and their products; but this phone case proves to be everything that you would want in a phone case if you are looking for a simple snap on solution that can withstand those occasional phone drops here and there. I know this is blasphemy, but I would look forward to dropping this case (not on purpose =P )... because with driving force that is behind Magpul one would long for that "war torn" look and roughness around the edges of the Magpul Field Case.
UPDATE: I dropped the phone with this case on from about waist height on concrete accidentally. It bounced & tumbled on all four corners before stopping. I picked up the phone for inspection. NO VISIBLE DAMAGE on any side of the case from the impact on the concrete. This is One Tough Item!

Keep it simple stupid... Thats what this case does. Adds almost zero bulk while giving the protection and not slip the iPhone 4 needs. Not that dust collecting plastic either. FWIW I have the Verizon version and the fit by the mute switch is just fine. Its not an otter case, but with a screen protector and this case, you are good to go.
