I would recommend buying a cotton version if you can find it. The poly flag is already coming apart in a few places, even though it has only been flown a handful of times. Also, the weight is insufficient for mounting on a house (it will not hang, and easily blows in the wind), but would be great on a flag pole.

However due to the quality, it would only last for a few flights.

This flag is great. I bought it or Halloween as an evil cult and the flags were perfect. If you're looking for this for you're flagpole, maybe think again. It's a nylon flag so it's pretty see through. But for the cheap price this flag is totally worth it.

This flag was created by the women of Gonzales, Texas to fly over the cannon during the Battle of Gonzales. The event took place on October 2nd 1835, known as the first battle of the Texas Revolution aka the Lexington of the Texas Revolution,6 months before the fall of the Alamo. The battle was fought over a small 6 pounder cannon that was given to the Texians by the Mexicans earlier for the defense of their community against hostile Indians. The original group of men who defended Gonzales and the attempted take back of the cannon were known as the "Old 18", one of which was my ancestor, Almon Cottle.
